Fig.223/224 butterfly valves are based on a concentric design with multiple unique solutions.
The curved slope of the seat sealing surface, combined with an extended sealing area at the flange connection, is engineered to deliver low and stable operating torque while maintaining high sealing performance. This design allows the valve to be installed in the pipeline without a gasket and also enables reliable operation in vacuum applications.
The valve offers extended service life, even under frequent operation. It is suitable for both manual and automated actuation and is widely used in water supply, HVAC, and general industrial applications.
1. Groove to show direction of the disc. Heat number and material certificate. Threaded to make safe mounting of hand lever.
2. Top flange according to ISO5211, together with square stem, makes it suitable for direct mounting of actuators, without using bracket.
3. Relief track on the mounting flange protect the actuator if over pressure or wear makes the valve leak.
4. Stainless steel retainer preventing stem blow-out.
5. Unique detail make it convenient for adding identidification or manual book.
6. RPTFE/graphite bearings provide excellent support.
7. GGG40 Ductile iron body, provides high mechanical properties. CF8M body is available for Fig.223 DN40-DN300.
8. O-rings by upper and lower shaft, are extra ordinary sealing to prevent leakage.
9. Square transmission between disc and shaft is strong and reliable.
10. UPR hard back ring for the seat, ensure good tolerances of sealing point, keep the rubber stationary even under vacuum conditions and let you mount the valve between flanges without seat displacement.

13. Wider sealing diameter together with the centering eyes of the valve, makes safe sealing for all kind of flanges.
14. Unique solution on disc turning point with reinforced SS+PTFE bearing (or SS bearing) inside the disc, where rotation occurs. This reduce friction and ensure perfect centering and long lifetime together with the strong fixing shaft.
15. Multi-standard alignment holes suitable for various standard of flanges: EN1092 PN10, PN16, ASME B16.5 Class150, JIS B2239 10K, 16K, BS10 Table D, Table E.
16. Plug with O-ring as weather and secondary sealing.
